Listening to @ClareFoges on LBC about reparations due to the slave trade. Had to turn it off as it was breaking my heart. I’m trying to be proud of being British but difficult when so many of my fellow country peps are deaf and blind to the ongoing trauma and injustice

Such interesting and obvious language used by Braverman when talking about refugees. “Stoping the INVASION”, “many are involved in CRIMINAL GANGS”. Such use of language dehumanises people, generates fear and justifies appalling treatment. We all know how this game works.

@TimEvans1503 Reached the same conclusion years ago. I often reflect that we must believe that the power still ultimately lies with the people. Not easy though, but important for neighbourhoods to enact change from the ground up.

Huge thanks to @nxwestmidlands left a bag containing diabetic hypo kit for one of our children on the 19 bus. Jack the bus driver on the 76 came by and saved the day. He went over and above to help retrieve the bag and return safely back to us. Big thanks Jack from the 76 bus.
