The United States is a secular country, not a Christian country.

It is simply a Christian-majority country.

The other day, Azerbaijan banned hijab for schoolgirls, despite being 98% Muslim. When people protested online, your people sided with the government, arguing that the country is not a Muslim country and that it can make whatever decisions it wants, regardless of the religion affected.

As long as United States remains a secular state, anyone of any religion can contest for whatever position. It is then left to the people of the country to decide whether to vote for that person or not.
