@lockup78 I don't agree with the "every guy is a rapist" takes either. But I do think women are taught to be cautious around men they don't know well and not without reason. That doesn't mean all men are dangerous. It means women often can't know which ones are safe until they do.
Himanshu finally apologized 🙏
- He said it was his first comedy show
- He watched old videos of the show to understand what kind of content people usually performed
- He made up a story and exaggerated it to make it funny
- Host encouraged and supported him while doing it
- He now regrets using those words
He deserves to be criticized and trolled for what he said. But hearing him say that his family is stressed because he lost his job and that he doesn't know what to do next genuinely makes me sad.
People should be held accountable for their mistakes but they should also get a second chance. Unlike Sejal Pawar, he doesn't come from a position of privilege where life can easily cushion the consequences. Losing a job can completely shake a middle class family's stability 🥲
@lockup78 A role reversal wouldn't make the behavior okay. I'd call it creepy either way. But there's a reason women aren't watching this and thinking, "Wow!! what an unrealistic scenario"
If you’re a man, and your takeaway from the movie was that Nikki represented a crazy girlfriend, saw her as the villain, or you sympathized with Bear… women should avoid you at ALL COSTS.
