Minor differences in procedure and pharmacology, but saying the hospital down the street is aggressively synchronizing A Fib all the time is just far fetched

I’ve used multiple models of LifePak and Zoll and have never knows either to be able to synchronize AFib. Thanks for the article though very interesting read!

Surely isn’t in my ACLS protocol. And I’ve seen plenty of Cardizem given and few defib attempts. Sounds like from the study the already predisposed risk of stroke increases

@StephenRuhe @BledsoeBradley @HumanityChad @CommunityNotes You can’t synchronize cardiovert A-Fib. Only SVT and Vtach. Some docs will attempt to defibrillate a-fib RVR at a lower joules, but it’s rare, and not what is happening here.
