"Where Did Your ‘Jacinda Model’ Go Now?” 🗣️
For years, India’s self-appointed liberal commentators lectured us about the greatness of Jacinda Ardern - holding her up as the “ideal leader” and asking “When will India get its Jacinda?” while taking cheap shots at India’s own leadership.
From @sardesairajdeep to @RanaAyyub and the usual ecosystem, the chorus was loud: empathy, compassion, progressive leadership - New Zealand was the supposed model.
Fast forward to today.
The same leader they worshipped has walked away from New Zealand, as economic pressures push people- including leaders - to seek opportunities abroad.
Turns out the “global progressive utopia” they kept glorifying is witnessing a wave of its own citizens leaving.
Maybe before lecturing India again, this ecosystem should first explain:
If the Ardern model was so perfect, why are even its champions leaving the country behind?
@zerodha@1_pewdipie40131 Unpledge action may be delayed at depository level but why keep it in mtf and charge interest, if funds are available in my ac
Activist: "Your cows look miserable."
Farmer: "They're lying in the field chewing cud."
Activist: "Exactly. They're not free."
Farmer: "They can walk anywhere in 50 acres."
Activist: "But they're fenced in."
Farmer: "So they don't wander into traffic."
Activist: "They should roam free."
Farmer: "There's literally nothing stopping them from moving around the field."
Activist: "It's not the same as wild cattle."
Farmer: "There are no wild cattle. They're domesticated."
Activist: "They'd be happier wild."
Farmer: "Wild cattle went extinct 400 years ago."
Activist: "Because of farming."
Farmer: "Because they were the same animal and we domesticated them."
Activist: "They deserve freedom."
Farmer: "They have 50 acres and no predators. Living the dream, really."
The best gift you can give your child isn’t more toys.
Not a bigger house.
Not even the best school.
It’s a sibling.
Someone who comes from the same place you do.
Someone who remembers the same kitchen smells, the same family stories, the same hard days when things weren’t easy.
One day, when parents are no longer around, siblings are still there.
They carry the memories.
They remember your childhood with you.
They know who you were before the world got to you.
A sibling teaches things no book ever will.
How to share without being asked.
How to forgive and move on.
How to stand up for someone just because they’re yours.
In a world that pushes people to be “independent” and alone, siblings quietly save children from loneliness.
They fight. They compete. They drift apart at times.
But when life hits hard, they almost always find their way back to each other.
Money comes and goes.
Status fades.
Friends change with time.
But a sibling stays.
Messy. Imperfect. Real.
And deeply precious.
Give your child a brother or a sister.
You’re not splitting love.
You’re giving them more of it.
@sumanthraman It was state's misplaced apprehension prohibiting the ritual in first place (for appeasement only) . So compliant state machinery is bypassed and CISF given the responsibility.
