‘WALA NAMAN NAPALA’
Sen. Robin Padilla took a swipe at long-serving senators, saying their numerous terms in office have not translated into meaningful progress for ordinary Filipinos.
“Sa panahon niyo, wala naman din napala ang mahihirap, manggagawa, magsasaka, mangingisda, maglulupa, at iba pang manpower ang kalakal,” he wrote on Facebook.
To the Chinese Embassy in Manila: I have no problem respecting and recognizing the One China policy. In return China should respect the Philippines’ 500,000 square kilometers of our EEZ under the UNCLOS by abandoning their RIDICULOUS and ILLEGAL claim of 90 percent of the West Philippine/South China Sea.
To borrow the American saying, ‘If you can dish it out, you should learn to take it’.
We respect China’s view that Taiwan is part of China but China should respect our position that the Philippines’ EEZ is NOT part of China AND, for that matter, we are not and will never be a province of China.
We respect the Chinese people but we will never bow down to Xi Jinping’s illegal policy claims in the region. NEVER.
Speaking of being reminded, we would like to redpectfully remind China that the Philippine Senate showed the United States of America the door in 1991 by rejecting the 1991 RP-US Bases Treaty. We said NO to the world’s only superpower then in upholding our sovereignty. Whether the US or China, no world superpower can be allowed to intimidate us.
Don’t me. Don’t us.*

Senator Robin Padilla's statement that confrontation with China yields no benefits for the Philippines and that continued contestation over the WPS is futile. Such position undermines the plight of Filipino fishermen who, just weeks ago, were injured and had their boats damaged by China Cost Guard water cannons near Escoda Shoal—incidents that highlight ongoing aggression despite diplomatic efforts.
This statement is also a profound disservice to the PCG personnel who are courageously and selflessly patrolling the West Philippine Sea and who are constantly subjected to China’s bullying and dangerous actions. Our presence in these waters is not the cause of escalating tensions. We are there to prevent China from normalizing its illegal presence in the WPS while, at the same time, providing safety and security to our ordinary fishermen.
As part of the senate, Sen. Padilla should recognize that the Philippines has never initiated or escalated tensions in the WPS. Instead, we have consistently been on the receiving end of China's barbaric, illegal, coercive, aggressive, and deceptive actions, which violate the 2016 Arbitral Award and international law.
While Sen. Padilla emphasizes for diplomatic dialogue, he perhaps forgot that the current administration under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has actively pursued diplomacy. President Marcos has repeatedly emphasized maintaining open communication channels with Beijing while asserting that the WPS issue does not define the entirety of Philippines-China relations. As a matter of fact, bilateral trade remains robust: China is the Philippines' top import partner and a major export destination, with trade volumes reaching billions annually despite WPS issue.
On Sen. Padilla’s discussion of territorial sea and exclusive economic zones, the Philippine government broadly understands the distinction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). It is only China that refuses to accept the invalidity of its "nine-dash line," as ruled by the 2016 Arbitral Award.
Sen. Padilla's vision—that Filipino fishermen fish freely in the WPS, that Philippine Coast Guard vessels no longer subjected to water cannon by the China Coast Guard, and that resources like oil and gas at Recto Bank be extracted—can only materialize if China ceases its aggression. Suggesting that the Philippines should halt its defense of rights reveals a misunderstanding: we are not "fighting" in an offensive sense but steadfastly upholding sovereign rights against bullying. It is our fishermen who truly "fight" daily—not with arms, but by pursuing their livelihood in the WPS which is now endangered daily by China’s maritime forces.
The good senator must remember: standing firm is not provocation; it is patriotism and it is our obligation for the next generation of Filipinos.
By the way, Vietnam is not a founding member of ASEAN; it only joined in 1995.

Whatever started or caused the conflict, that is not how a civilized person should behave.
Basta DDS talaga! 👊
Kaya dapat imbes na Senado at si Marcoleta na biased ang nag he-hearing eh dapat independent commission, as proposed by Senator Tito Sotto and supported by Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

I rarely tweet but let me say this.
This is a VERY SICK MAN. Please sa mga botante ng Pasig, do not vote for candidates like these. Read what he said. This man is gross.
Let me translate in English, “To all the single mothers who are still menstruating, you can sleep with me”
Ito ang kalidad ng mga kandidato natin. Please lang po. Mag-isip isip tayo.
Cardi B responds to Elon Musk calling her a “puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words” following her speech at Kamala Harris’ rally:
“I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you […] You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle”
I honestly believe that VP Sara is a bit unhinged to say such things as throwing the body of a man out to sea and imagining to chop off the President's head, while making out her father to be a fair person who did not cross anyone. Hindi talaga tumutugma ang pag-iisip niya sa realidad. Nakakabahala.
You can criticize the Aquinos for so many things. But this is one thing no one can hit them. After their term as Presidents, they returned to being private citizens. None of the two ever attempted to run for any other position.
How the Dutertes are trying to divert your attention
There’s a reason why the senators are scared to call out the Dutertes and their allies — because when they do, they will be subject to below the belt, unsubstantiated and relentless online attacks.
Because there’s no way to defend the Dutertes in all the issues they’re involved with, just like and how they always do… they are now exerting all the efforts to divert our attention elsewhere. I’m convinced that all these, including meeting with a known political rival, former Vice President Leni Robredo, is just a way for us to stop talking about the issues involving VP Sara, her family and their allies.
I have to hand it to the Vice President, she successfully made the news and headlines about her refusal to take an oath, her claims about impeachment and not being friends with the president (who wants to be friends with her anyway). But the truth of the matter is, the House Committee on Good Governance established a lot of crucial facts and so forgive me for pivoting the conversation back to what matters.
Although I also watched the hearing in its entirety but how Rep. Rodge Gutierrez in an ambush interview summarized the things we need to worry about the Vice President’s expenditures is worth reading:
“When the same justifications are presented year after year for millions of pesos in taxpayer money, it raises serious questions about whether these funds are truly being used as intended or merely being spent without proper oversight. “This repeated pattern opens the door for further audit scrutiny, and it’s only a matter of time before COA issues a formal Notice of Disallowance for the P375 million 2023 budget.”

I do not know how their supporters would explain the overwhelming links, evidence, witnesses of issues like human trafficking, illegal POGOs, money-related matters, illegal drugs amongst other things. Just to name a few:
1. Atty. Harry Roque who is now in hiding is connected to a lot of things concerning the POGO personalities and companies in question.
2. The Dutertes defended Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who is now facing charges filed against him. Cases of heinous crimes if I may add.
3. The former PCSO General Manager Garma
4. The recently arrested former budget undersecretary Lao
5. Former PNP Chief and now Senator Bato dela Rosa connection to the extrajudicial killings now being investigated in the lower house.
6. Former SAF and now Senator Bong Go (cases filed in courts)
I know this is a much much longer list and you can add yours in the comment section if you like. But all these do have documentary evidence and an overwhelming number of witnesses.
Before we turn our heads to where the known Duterte social media users are pointing… demand answers to the questions of importance. Demand answers from the Dutertes or vote them out of their respective offices.
Well. Always remember… Amping kanunay!
