Two shipwreck artefact collections come under the hammer in November. "The Shipwreck Archive of Richard Larn OBE" (https://t.co/b5VIhkCyis) & the Charlestown Shipwreck Museum Sale (https://t.co/DWmJREw9gl) will be auctioned at the Penzance saleroom of LAY’s Auctioneers. Thoughts?
The White Ensign 'flies' again on destroyer HMS Exmouth after a team of divers surveyed the wreck.
Exmouth was the first RN surface ship lost with all hands in #WW2, torpedoed off Wick in Scotland in January 1940.

Having dived the wreck in 2018 and 2021, fascinating to here that the 'Pin Wreck' has been identified. Photos from my dive in 2018. https://t.co/GqPE45VdKg
Feedback on the NHS review of hyperbaric services must be submitted by 13th October. The plan is to reduce the number of centres from eight to six and locate them at inland NHS boundaries. Find out more and have your say at https://t.co/B8lElfHPuN
A productive visit to Nammu-Tech yesterday. The handset issue is resolved with a simple replacement. The LED boards are temperamental. So time to get Debbie back in the water. Lots of talk of future support for the Redbare & what the future holds. I will upgrade the MAVs & DSVs.
Second fitting with Dennis for a new #bespoke#Evolution suit; done! Options include black and grey colour scheme and bespoke size side pockets fitted. #Kubi gloves, #Sitech neck seal and #Apeks dump valve like the Santi. Only charge is fitted boots than socks and rock boots. Collection 20th December.
Picture robbed from the @GuztechDiving conference’s WhatsApp group at Saturday night’s curry; the #Mutiny#Diving table. The #conference itself was very #informative and #entertaining. Apparently there’s a top tip; when you have a bent computer that won’t let you dive, pop it in a sealed container of water and pressurise it with a bicycle pump to complete the deco for you. However, we’re not advocating you try this at home kids! Tom won an AP DSMB in the raffle. Lots of friends met, new ones made and beers sunk. Dates for the diary for 2024 are the 30th November and/or 1st December here in #Plymouth. The Mutiny team feel very inspired for 2024 with a couple of projects up their sleeve. Never know, we may have a speaker next year if there is #success.
This afternoon’s dive to the ex-Maltese minesweeper, P-29. Scuttled in 2007 as an artificial reef. Run time 55m30s to maximum depth 38m and an excellent 35m visibility in ambient light. Water temp 23degC and surface temp 28degC. Very much a boil-in-a-bag Santi drysuit experience topside. Stills from GoPro. Interesting to see the Flying Gurnard in full flight with blue ‘wings’.
From diving a 17th century Dutch warship on an archaeological site last week to a smattering of concrete amphora in the sea grass today. Alas check dive done and with more muckers arriving tomorrow, here’s to some good diving on Malta and Gozo during the next two weeks.
Write up of Friday's spectacular dive with the Nautical Archaeological Society to the protected wreck of the 17th century Dutch warship, the Klein Hollandia. Includes details of how you may get to dive this fascinating site yourself and to join NAS.
