🥘 Dinner Shift at our Downtown Los Angeles location
🥗 All Kitchen Shifts at Hope Gardens Family Center and Angeles House Family Center

The summer heat is here, and Union Rescue Mission has only one week of bottled water remaining. We urgently need your help to replenish our supply for the men, women, and children we serve every day.

We’re accepting unopened bottled water of any size.

Every donation helps keep our guests and neighbors experiencing homelessness hydrated during the hottest days of the year.

Water donations can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

Today’s Back-to-School Event at our Downtown Los Angeles campus was about so much more than backpacks and school supplies. Families received medical and dental care, school enrollment support, community resources, and plenty of fun along the way. 💙🎒

There is something special about gathering on the rooftop, overlooking the city. It is a reminder of how much becomes possible when support is found, community is built, and stability begins to grow.

We are deeply grateful to UCLA Medical, USC Dental, LAUSD, Para Los Niños, School on Wheels, Officer Deon and the LAPD team, and every volunteer who helped our children begin the school year healthy, prepared, and full of hope. ❤️

Christmas is too meaningful to celebrate just once a year!

At Christmas in July, children and families from all three Union Rescue Mission locations came together for a day that felt truly special. It’s a winter wonderland in the middle of summer. There was real snow, sledding, games, food, toys, photos with Santa, and so many moments of laughter and connection.

It was more than just a fun day. It was a reminder of Emmanuel—God with us. With us in the hard moments, with us in the joyful ones, and always close by.

We’re so thankful for everyone who helped make this day possible. We couldn’t have done it without:

🐴💙 This week, children from our Downtown LA campus and Angeles House are discovering confidence, courage, and connection at Horses in the Hood Camp at Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship.

Throughout the week, 12 children are learning how to care for horses, build trust through riding, and experience the healing power of equine therapy. They’re also enjoying teamwork activities, creative crafts, and making unforgettable summer memories together.

Sometimes the greatest lessons come with four legs. From building confidence to learning responsibility and compassion, experiences like these help our children grow in ways that last far beyond camp.
