The Court of Appeal directed the Attorney General to produce documents detailing the source, purpose, supporting documentation, and National Security correspondence relating to the GH¢49.1 million at the centre of the Adu-Boahene trial.

However, the Attorney General told the court that the requested documents cannot be provided, raising questions over why the prosecution proceeded with the case without records that appear central to establishing the origin, purpose, and context of the funds.

Today, I had the honour of meeting the revered National Council of Elders to seek their blessings, guidance, and counsel as I formally present my vision to serve as National Chairman of our great Party.

I reflected on our shared journey—particularly the difficult period of 2014/2015 when, with the confidence of the Council and NEC, I was entrusted with the responsibility of helping to stabilize and reorganize our Party. Together, we restored unity, won the historic 2016 victory , and secured another resounding victory in 2020.

As we prepare for 2028, our Party faces significant challenges that require experienced, tested, and unifying leadership. My vision is clear:

1. Restore party unity and discipline.
2. Rebuild our grassroots and reconnect with our traditional support base.
3. Strengthen TESCON, External Branches, Nasara, Women and Youth Wings.
4. Enhance election preparedness and internal security.
5. Invest in continuous capacity building for party officers and communicators.
6. Empower our Social Media Activists and the Youth
7. Support the National Council of Elders while harnessing their wisdom through mentorship and training at the Patriotic Institute .
8. Lead the NPP back to government with a decisive victory in 2028.

My message to our elders was simple: I have never belonged to any faction—I belong to the New Patriotic Party.

With their blessings, the support of our rank and file, and the grace of God, we will rebuild our Party, restore confidence, and win together again.
