EYFS Minibeast Visit
We met today Colin the cockroach, Millie the milipede, Shelly the snail, Terry the tarantula and Steve the scorpion. Children and staff were very brave to stroke some of them and found out interesting facts about them...
@BenyonPS Science Day in Reception was an absolute success!
Children were fascinated and curious finding out about Karl Benz’ inventions and designs. They had a go themselves at drawing, creating and sharing their models at the end of the day. Great team work everyone!👏
Reception children enjoyed using their reasoning skills to describe and compare different items. They went on ‘Heavy and Light’ or ‘Short and Long’ hunts. Some of the children had fun using non-standards units of measure! Great job 👏
@BenyonPS Following the theme of EYFShome, today is St. David’s Day. Children enjoyed finding daffodils and listening to the different interesting facts about Wales 🏴
Also in Eastern Europe, today is celebrating the victory over winter by sharing flowers 💐 and ‘martisor’.
Children in Reception enjoyed flying their kites in the warm windy weather. Some of them were fascinating by the signs of spring, such as flowers and blossom 🌸
Well done Reception children for your hard work during the first half term 👏 Thank you families for your support!
One of the latest children’s favourite activity was cutting snowflakes and decorating paper dolls 👍❄️
@BenyonPS Snowman buddy for Olaf
Hope snow came in your area too ❄️❄️❄️
My kitten enjoyed the first snow too and loved catching the snowballs. We had fun making foot prints in the snow ⛄️
Do you like to play in the snow?
@MissHills7@BenyonPS@HeadteacherBen1 These lovely patterns can relax you too if you are using the breath in and breath out whilst joining the dots. Have a go at creating your own!
@BenyonPS I really enjoyed our ‘Bird Watch’ walk. We have spotted some magpies, seagulls, wood pigeons and some house sparrows. I wonder what type of birds you’ve seen in your area?
