Real 'Manjummel Boys'

The Malayalam movie "Manjummel Boys," based on a trip of a group of friends to Kodaikanal, is making waves after the release of its Telugu version on April 6.

New screens are being added across Telugu states after a positive response.

On September 3, 2006, Subhash from Manjummel, Kerala, fell into Guna Caves while exploring with friends. His friend Siju David heroically rescued him from the depths

Guna Caves, once known as "Devil's Kitchen," located in the picturesque Kodaikanal, has regained attention, 32 years after the release of Kamal Haasan's film "Guna," which has overshadowed its original name.

Discovered by British official B. S. Ward in 1821, the Guna Caves are located at an elevation of 2,230 meters.

Subash slipped about 80 feet into the caves within seconds. Despite his friends contacting the police, they were of little assistance. Eventually, Fire Services and Forest Department personnel arrived and lowered a rope into the cave.

With rescue personnel reluctant due to previous fatalities in the caves, Siju David bravely volunteered. Using a 50-foot-long rope, he descended into the cave. Another rope was added to ensure he reached Subhash safely. They were then both pulled out by the rescue team.

Siju David told journalists, "He was my childhood friend. I couldn't leave without him."

Unfortunately, the caves witnessed another tragedy in July 2012 when Karthik, a youth from Ramanathapuram district working as an electrician, was declared dead by the police after rescue attempts proved unsuccessful.

ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟಿದೆ.. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅರುಣ್​ ಯೋಗಿರಾಜ್​ ಥರ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಅಷ್ಟೇ. ನಾನು ಓದಿರೋದೇ ಒಂದು, ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಇರೋದೇ ಒಂದು ಅಂತ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸಬಹುದು. ಒಂದು ಓದ್ಕೊಂಡು ಇನ್ನೊಂದ್​ ಏನೋ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡೋಷ್ಟು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದೀವಿ ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಂಚೂರು ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯಾಕೆ ನಾವೇ ಕಂಡ ಕನಸ್ಸನ್ನ ಚೇಸ್​ ಮಾಡೋದಕ್ಕ�� ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬಾರದು?

ಅರುಣ್​ರನ್ನ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಂತೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಲ್ಲ.
