@_JazzyBoy__@ThatKaleGuy Poor wording in original tweet but point still stands, hals ring was decommissioned and written off until John reclaimed it with his own will
@Eduard0Angel0@PSSMKR Because Superman was an independent threat while John is a threat inside the Green Lantern corps. Hell John even gives Guy a message for the guardians. Guys not scared he just realises this threat is not his to resolve and returns to Oa
@StephenLindsey@hassanhamidfilm No we know this because if you watched any of the last 8 episodes leading up to this it makes sense! Do you need a tv character to explicitly say their motivations everytime on screen or is this your first time ever watching a tv show ?
@0c4b56886066471@mynerdyhome Because as the show clearly states Noah isn't pure evil, at least not yet. He covers for his mom's crimes to protect her, he puts his teammates above himself, and even asks john to kill him because hes scared. John becomes the gl of Earth to watch over threats like Noah.
@StephenLindsey@hassanhamidfilm "He believes" yes he does now as the show has lead up to.Noah being a manhunter he has a choice to protect Earth from a potential threat his own way, not the way the guardians would want which is to put him down even though they created him. John is standing up to their hypocrisy
@UncannyKam Because Guy takes his oath and duties very seriously. When John rocks up with a dead man's ring and an unsanctioned lantern Guy clearly understands the situation is way above his pay grade especially after given a message to tell the guardians. It's all in the episode lol
@SDork450 Guy is probably intimidated by the fact John has rocked up with a dead man's ring and an unsanctioned lantern. As the show literally says they are in uncharted territory with this. Guy just doesn't know what he is supposed to do in this scenario.
@StephenLindsey@hassanhamidfilm Willpower is not absence of fear it is overcoming it which is literally what John's oath is about. John finally decides to become a lantern because after a lifetime of other people telling him to be a lantern he finally makes the decision himself because he now believes.
@deepsgills Not to mention the ending of John being lantern of literally just earth works perfectly for future DCU projects meaning there's another Earth based hero and the space cop lanterns can be explored in other stories
@yonicide@LUMAP0P@BlerdJuuHeard You clearly havent been watching the show then if you think John is some military man following orders. This decision makes perfect sense for John who has been constantly manipulated and blindsided by higher powers and he's finally had enough and just wants to do what's right.
@IsnitJustKit@b3achmaster So an independent Wales can use its natural advantages however it wants, yet an independent England will still have to prop its deficits with no clear benefit to itself? Not how international trade works lol
@ron_dickinson @Alexkphillips Do you think Scotland with its free uni, prescriptions and all the else is some deficit free economy and it's all the evil Westminsters debt lol
@JustNotATES@MrKnowItAll John's lived his whole life with people deciding his future for him and grooming him. Being vegan is both probably a trauma response and the first bit of control he's had over his own life
@SAFCsource Feel out of place cos I don't mind it. Bit big aye but just some black text could look worse. African sponsor suits us too with all our afcon lads now lol
@etta_jnr@B03GHB4L1 Still here at Sunderland think he's just being developed slowly since he's still so young people think people got a bit ahead of themselves when he first broke through, quality player still just not getting thrown to the wolves while still young
