A few months ago, I had the privilege & honor of flying around the world & joining the first class of @balajis Network School. I'd never met such a potent concentration of inspiring free-thinkers, including @VitalikButerin & @bryan_johnson.
The whole cohort was gold.

Now imagine the logical conclusion of the UK censorship ban. They now have everyone identified. They have your ID, passport, credit cards, eyeball scans, fingerprints, blood, umbilical cord, hair, and you want to speak out against this disgusting crime against humanity but it goes against their protected people. You make a post online. You want to know why the hell this is allowed. Within an hour someone shows up at your door. You’re now in jail. This creates a chilling effect. Now people are afraid to speak. It’s not worth it. They have no outlet. There is no freedom of speech. So they swallow their anger and accept their fate and allow the humiliation while they lose their society.

The reason why Raman got the ballots over Bass is that activists go to homeless shelters and slums and walk out with hundreds of ballots each time. And it's not clear if the people on the ballots really filled them out, or when they arrived. But the people who do this are far left, and so the ballots are breaking for Raman. They probably don't make much money to do it, they're just that dedicated to this city's destruction

Raman herself probably didn't know how many of those people there were looking out for her, though ultimately she's happy to accept the support

California's system will become every blue state's system, and the purple states too, unless it is dismantled at the federal level

Been thinking a lot about how to build anti-fragile community around radical self reliance. Cuby is great, but we'll need systems to go far farther to stay ahead of the panopticon. I think the first step is figuring out how to want land that no one else wants
