Le Festival International de Matmata fait partie de l'«Incubateur de festivals », un programme intensif d'assistance technique+mentorat financé par @usaidvt et mis en œuvre en partenariat avec le @SmithsonianFolk pour renforcer les capacités de six festivals culturels tunisiens.

La 15ème édition du festival International de Matmata a attiré plus de 21 700 visiteurs et a proposé des expériences culinaires, musicales et culturelles. Les visiteurs ont pu profiter d'un marché artisanal où les artisans de la région ont présenté leur artisanat et produits.
