I have retired as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Pancreatic Cancer UK. I am so proud of what we have achieved on behalf of the pancreatic cancer community and there is so much more to come with some really exciting developments in research funding and service development.
Brilliant to have been part of an inspiring day with cancer sector colleagues and supporters today, handing in our #OneCancerVoice petition to @RishiSunak 🙌
People with cancer deserve better from this government @PancreaticCanUK
The #OneCancerVoice petition has been handed in to Number 10!
Thank you to @CR_UK, everyone involved and everyone who signed - an amazing opportunity to show how united the cancer community is on demanding @RishiSunak prioritise cancer in government plans and strategies.
During the visit, we also spoke to the Minister about our call for more government funding and support into #PancreaticCancer research, which is vital to driving improvements in survival. We look forward to continuing to work with her on making this happen.
@Helen_Whately, Minister for Cancer, visited our researchers at @ImperialSandC this week to find out more about the ground-breaking #PancreaticCancer breath test, and even had a go herself!

@PancreaticCanUK@ImperialSandC So proud of our work on this and the fantastic supporters who make it possible. We are really excited about the potential of this work 💜
Breaking news!
We are thrilled to announce that our researchers at Imperial College London are developing the world’s first breath test for #PancreaticCancer, which could save thousands of lives every year. @ImperialSandC
We are pleased to see the new cancer survival figures published by @NHSDigital and @NHSEngland showing that the five-year survival for #PancreaticCancer in England has increased from 7.3% in 2015 to 8.3% in 2020. (1/4)
@AnnaJewell7 Devastating disappointment for everyone in our pancreatic cancer community who worked so hard to contribute to the consultation believing it would make a difference. We will battle on for those affected by the unchanging statistics. But today’s announcement is really tough.
Proud of our Director of Support, Research & Influencing and Chair of @LessSurvivable, @AnnaJewell7 for talking about this shocking report on Sky News just now. We need urgent action for the #LessSurvivableCancers!
After five years as Chair I am stepping down in March 2023. It is an honour and a privilege to have helped lead this amazing charity. This is a great role to take on to help tackle such a challenging cancer.

On the 16th July I’m taking steps to transform the future for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer. I’d absolutely love it if you could help me reach my fundraising target and support the work of Pancreatic Cancer UK with a donation. https://t.co/pNdDoDqvNA

Survival rates of pancreatic cancer have barely changed in 50 years. Too many people are hearing the words “Sorry, it’s too late, we can’t save you.” Will you #StandWithUs to make early diagnosis a reality? https://t.co/zxQvOVDsX7
