The tech behind Honeybadger
Honeybadger is a rule-based execution engine for tokenized stocks. Here’s how the contracts work:
1. Your vault stores the strategy.
Each user gets a separate smart-contract vault holding their assets and IF → THEN rules: scheduled buys, price triggers or portfolio rebalancing.
2. An executor triggers the checks.
Calling execute(ruleId) makes the vault verify the rule’s condition, cooldown and configured market-hours restriction.
3. Oracle prices define the execution limit.
The router uses oracle prices to calculate the expected output, then applies your slippage tolerance to determine the minimum acceptable amount.
4. The trade executes through a swap venue.
Purchased assets return to your vault. If the received amount falls below the required minimum, the transaction reverts.
Your wallet controls deposits, withdrawals and strategy settings. Executors submit transactions; the contracts enforce the stored rules.
That’s how Honeybadger turns a trading strategy into executable onchain logic.
