most yield products fail in the same quiet way. the money coming in and the money going out share an address, so the payout you receive is partly what somebody else just paid.

Aluma keeps the two apart by structure, not by policy. a purchase goes to a plain wallet. the node contract never receives it, has no price to check, and holds nothing that could be handed back out as a reward.

credits arrive from the other direction, with the ETH attached. the contract refuses one unless the value sent equals the sum being written, so a balance cannot appear without the money already behind it.

that is the whole idea. not a promise that the books balance, an arrangement where they cannot quietly stop balancing.

today those credits are funded by us rather than by swap flow, and that sentence sits on the site in the same plain words.
