The agentic platform that learns your compliance program and runs it end-to-end. Clear your alert backlog faster – with deeper context and better judgment.
What if every judgment call became institutional knowledge?
𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 compliance program run through 𝘰𝘶𝘳 agentic system — that remembers and compounds.
Today we're (re)introducing Footprint: The AI operating system for risk. https://t.co/kKyQDwKCBq
Today, we're announcing our Series B fundraise. As the volume of financial crime in the global economy expands, we're building the agentic defense system that to meet and defeat it. https://t.co/eFU9jJc7yf
The startup lesson is a life lesson.
Conviction can’t be coaxed.
Whether it’s co-founders, hires, dates, or friendships—if you have to talk them into showing up, you’ve already lost them.

When I started @footprint_hq, I was petrified of failure.
Failure was abstract. It was invalidating of not just the company, but me as a person. And then one night, like our philosopher pictured below, I lay in a bathtub, sadly confident that was going to be the outcome of the company.
Since starting the company, I've come to appreciate failure. I don't want it. No one wants to fail. But I've embraced a changed relationship with failure as the price for success and happiness.
In my second post for my new Substack, I explore why I think learning to fail is one of the most important things you can do in life.

I used to publish my investor updates (they're still somewhat accessible on our website if you can find them :)). For those who read them, you may remember that they didn't really resemble investor updates.
While they did SLIGHTLY touch on the business, they were about a wide range of topics. Life, happiness, mental health, imposter syndrome, etc. I stopped publishing them because after our Series A I started writing our investor updates about our business (boring, I know).
With every cringey thought leadership post I shared on Linkedin, part of me missed the authenticity of the updates. It is really easy to post random product screenshots. It's tougher to start real conversations.
As a result, if you ask me, we have many people building the future of tomorrow before discussing the future of themselves. I think this goes to founders, but the much broader tech audience at large.
I've decided to bring back the deeper writing in a new format. A Substack that no one asked for called The Philosophical founder! Will be dropping the first post next week.

I couldn't be more excited to officially launch the @footprint_hq Onboarding Engine (OBE) to the world.
We're on a mission to build the best onboarding platform, and this is our biggest engineering lift to date to do exactly that.
Footprint now has a graphical view to handle incredibly complex onboarding scenarios in an intuitive UX. Some examples of how our customers are using OBE today.
➕ Modeling a multi-step-up flow (if flag for synthetic, step-up to doc scan)
🟰 Now in Footprint click a template for this scenario (30 seconds), or create a custom flow where you toggle on synthetic, auto-populate rules, and click add doc step-up (3-5 minutes).
🏦 Partner bank templates
We’ve now mapped the CIPs of dozens of partner banks into Footprint.
What’s unique is we can show the bank a more compliance-focused view (ie Lexis Nexis risk codes) whereas our customers can use Footprint in more plain text (ie fail if Lexis can not locate SSN).
 Link KYC + BAL playbooks
The vast majority of companies had to build internal logic to get their KYC + BAL flows to talk to each other.
💳 Call transaction monitoring platforms or other third party nodes from Footprint. This means Footprint can now talk to your other tools in the identity/fraud stack with relevant information still surfacing back in Footprint.
If you'd like to learn more, please visit our website below and we'd love to talk!

Startups are about statistics
The ones you stare down every day. And the ones you try to claim are on a page. A thread on growing sales teams, growing ambitions, and growing goals.
Ad-hoc verifications are live!
We constantly have customers ask to run new verification checks on onboarded users. Now in the Footprint dashboard you can go and run checks such as AML, synthetic, or phone intelligence.
Very honored that @Footprint_HQ was selected by @money2020 as one of the top seven up and coming fintechs at the conference.
As I told them, "We've tried to be different at Footprint — whether that be through our recent fraud indemnification program or our approach to labeling good actors. Some may think these are crazy ideas. But it is great to see Money20/20 continue to be where crazy can get a spotlight. That is how I would like to think true innovation happens".
Now back to work! https://t.co/KsOrPLBSlp
My company @Footprint_HQ hasraised $20M and in less than 3 years works powers the critical infra for public companies. None of this would be remotely possible without my co-founder + CTO @AlexGrinman.
My guide on what to look for in a technical co-founder.
nobody will remember:
- your salary
- how “busy you were”
- how many hours you worked
people will remember:
- how quickly you onboarded users b/c you used @Footprint_HQ

- how well you slept at night without fear of data breach b/c you used @Footprint_HQ
