There was certainly no love lost between Sir Alex and the BBC.

To be fair to Sir Alex, he always defended his players in public. So there was no chance he was going to criticise Keane, even though he must’ve taken action privately.

It was all part of nurturing the siege mentality that won us so many trophies over the years.
