Alternative people struggle to find jobs because of the double takes that owners tend to do. But why do people not want to hire them? Their appearance doesn’t effect their work.

As people get older they can either get more accepting as time goes on or stay in their old ways. Old people’s reaction to alternative people can be very 50/50. #uowcreative @UOWTV

Emo is still a popular alternative subculture but the insults haven’t really changed since the early 2000s. People seem to forgot that emos are still people. #uowcreative @UOWTV

Despite being a trend, alternative subcultures have a lot of history behind them. Tattoos used to be a way to identify people and now 1 in 5 Australian’s have one. #uowcreative @UOWTV

Most of Douglas Park is in agreement, the opinion even reaching residents of Wilton who love the idea, hoping for businesses such as a bakery or a cafe with a few of the more bogan residents requesting a pub where they can have a drink and the kids can play in a garden

Douglas Park is a small community, most people know everyone in the tiny town with a few exceptions, it has had a few changes over the years such as some renovations and new business popping up in Camden Street

This plot has been advertised to the community by Bear as a place to put a new business into to, something small for now and maybe a bigger place for a future idea as Douglas Park and the surrounding area grows larger with every passing day with the new housing developments
