💡 Financial ERPs are a dark, dark place. A dark place where inaccurate reporting, manual reconciliation, 20-second waiting time for a single click, and year-long implementation projects come to life, haunting every CFO in their sleep. Let there be Light (@uselightinc).

🥷 Exiting stealth with a $13m Seed led by @atomico Atomico, Light isn't dancing around the core problem of the CFO stack — it's going straight for the bullseye, aiming at the elephant in the room: the General Ledger, the single source of truth for a company's financial transactions. Multinationals have no choice but to use NetSuite, and I've yet to see a CFO to be actually happy about this.

☝️ But but but...
"This is impossible to build, it's too complex"
"Every business is different, every country is different, there's so many edge cases"
"No CFO ever got fired for buying NetSuite"

🫡 Only 1.5 years later, here we are. There is Light, live with customers such as Famly, Penneo A/S, Worksome — with AI at its core, and with a product that's actually delightful to use. It's a ridiculously ambitious mission, and they're delivering.

🤝 Jonathan & Filip — it's an absolute privilege to work with you, every day from now on, until every single multinational runs on accurate bookkeeping, processes billions of transactions quickly, gets their reporting through AI, and is finally de-Light-ed. @jbjerresanders

🙏 Big thanks to @amanda_hultman — who dusted off her accounting skills acquired when working for EY, and who was a fantastic thought partner throughout the investment!
