مدينة المنصورة موجودة في قلب الدلتا وهناك افتتحت السفارة الأمريكية ركن أمريكي في مكتبة مصر العامة.

وخلال تواجدنا في المنصورة زار القائم بالأعمال روبرت سيلفرمان الموقع التاريخي الذي سُجن فيه الملك الفرنسي لويس التاسع في العصور الوسطى بعد أن توقفت محاولته لغزو مصر وده بعد معركة كانت السبب في تسمية المدينة باسم المنصورة واللي معناها «المدينة المنتصرة».

In the heart of Egypt's Delta lies the city of Mansoura, and here the U.S. Embassy opened an American Corner in the public library this week. While in Mansoura, Chargé d’Affaires Robert Silverman visited the historic site where a medieval French King (Louis IX) was imprisoned after his attempted invasion was stopped. This battle gave the city of Mansoura (the "Victorious”) its name.

Now introducing American Corner Mansoura! 🇺🇸🇪🇬
Chargé d’Affaires Robert Silverman @USChargeEgypt and Dakahlia Governor Major General Tarek Marzouk opened the fifth American Space in Egypt at the Misr Public Library.
The American Corner will offer free programs and activities focused on English-language learning, professional development, technology and SI, American culture, film discussions, and more.
We’re proud to partner with El-Dakahlia Governorate and Misr Public Library to create a new space for learning, connection, and opportunity for the people of Mansoura.

Good meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on the margins of the Africa Business Forum in Cairo. We discussed our longstanding U.S.-Egypt strategic partnership and shared regional priorities, including advancing unification in Libya, resolving the conflict in Sudan, and promoting peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.
