🎙️Ruben Amorim | December 2025:
“Players, the kids, they feel ENTITLED. They feel free to respond to the manager with a picture, my office is open, NOBODY is coming to talk to me.
I think it’s the feeling of ENTITLEMENT we have at our club. And sometimes strong words are not bad words, sometimes difficult moments are NOT bad things for the kids.
That’s why you guys talk about a lot of players nowadays that they speak and they go against the clubs, because they feel ENTITLEMENT.
And then you have legends saying that: 'If you DON'T play then LEAVE' because everyone ELSE is WRONG.
Instead, let's think about: 'Let's STAY, let's FIGHT. Let's overcome, maybe the manager is wrong.'
So I have that feeling all the time that we need to FIGHT against that feeling.
And again, sometimes I'm the first one to say that I'm failing this club inside the pitch. I have that feeling, we are not performing the way we should be.
But OUTSIDE the pitch, I GUARANTEE you, I'm NOT failing this club.
The players sometimes forget about what it means to play for Manchester United. We as a club sometimes forget who are ARE.
🚨 Rúben Amorim: “We prove today that we can win any game in the Premier League”.
“We were the better team against a great team like Arsenal”. ❗️ @BeanymanSports
"We have 2 ways — forget the new idea and try to cope, and next year we'll be here with the same problems.
"Or we start NOW — risk and suffer a little bit, and we'll be better in the next year."
Ralf Ragnick made this statement 4 years ago and was hounded out of this club.
Mourinho came in spoke of football heritage and was chased out.
Amorim came in and made it clear to the board that he was the manager of the team and not a coach and he was sacked.
These are coaches that understood the problem of this club and could have solved it if they were backed by fans and the club.
Of particular concern is Amorim, he understood what needed to be done and went about it by clearing the deadwood but United fans only wanted him to win games forgetting we hired him for a rebuild.
Rebuilds are hard, difficult and painful.
It took Klopp 3 seasons and took Arteta 5 seasons but their clubs were willing to back them and stick with them.
Manchester United is happy to bend to the whims of fans and sack managers without dealing with the main problems.
We need to rebuild this club and Michael Carrick is not the man to do the job, we need a forward thinking manager.
Any coach who wants Rashford back in his squad is not a serious coach and should be sacked.
This press conference might have saved Amorim’s career and reputation
In life you have to stand-up for yourself & not allowing the Wilcox of this life ruin your reputation.
Stand your ground, always.
🚨 Man Utd contact Brighton via intermediaries to explore conditions of deal for Carlos Baleba. #BHAFC do not plan to sell this summer & all sides aware move may be unrealistic. But #MUFC keen + should know in coming days if plausible or not @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/jCflCWm3AV
🚨🎙️ | Youri Tielemans on playing against #mufc for Anderlecht:
"It was a great, great memory.
"Manchester United is a massive club, and to play at Old Trafford for the first time, it was big.
"I've never seen a stadium that big in my life before, so it was amazing.
"But then, once you're on the pitch, it's on to football and on to what you can do and what you've done your whole life.
"So I was very excited to play that game and now obviously excited to be in them colors."
