we live in a predominantly white country. people of color have no choice but to find ways in which white supremacy benefits them. if that means degrading your own in pursuit something greater (in most cases, relations to white people) then so be it

The unfortunate reality is that a lot of black men have fallen for white supremacy. Even though they know they don’t benefit from it at all. Which is why they treat woman closer to the proximity of whiteness better than woman who look like them and darker.
