@CarpeTeachem I think the line should be drawn when it comes to something super personal (sexual orientation, the death of a family member, where you live, etc.). As a reporter/journalist, yes you want the scoop, but I think they should be more mindful of the info being released.
Everyday, there’s always something new about a celebrity’s life. Their life is often used as public entertainment whether it be about relationships, pregnancies, scandals, etc.

@CarpeTeachem Another thing is, when information like that comes out, in the moment, everyone rushes to be caught up with the latest gossip, giving the tabloids the attention they wanted and therefore, pretty much no one would think it to be unethical.
One thing that I think is unethical for the media to do is out celebrities unknowingly. That should be something they address for themselves when they’re comfortable and ready to do so. @CarpeTeachem#COMM31
@CarpeTeachem Well, for one, they’re protected by freedom of press and other laws, which helps them get away in terms of legality because technically, they’re not doing anything illegal.
@CarpeTeachem Just the whole idea of showing a person with a real history of smoking, her condition and state right now, who and what she’s become because of smoking (fairly skinny, hole in her throat), is a tactic to gain pity from the audience in order to get the “stop smoking” message.
While talking about Ethos, Pathos, and Logos, this ad kept popping up in my head because I would see it so often when watching youtube videos. It really hits all three elements! #COMM31@CarpeTeachem

@CarpeTeachem Just like the tiktok. We have old technology, which is already cool on its own, but with new technology, it makes it a lot more interactive and more fun in a way! But, I do know it’s not always the case with other scenarios.
I was scrolling through tiktok and just happened to come across this video as we’re talking about interactive technology. It’s amazing what kinds of things we can do with it, and as someone who’s starting to get into vinyls, I thought this was dope! @CarpeTeachem#COMM31
@CarpeTeachem I’m between yes and no. Personally, I will always have a heart for old technology, but some may not as technology continues to grow. I think that new technology, in a way, does kill old tech, but I think that in some ways it also enhances old tech
Not the best drawing but fun fact: I got curious and tried to do animation myself, and just this waving stick figure took me about 30mins - an hour. I can't even imagine how much time goes into animating movies and shows! @CarpeTeachem#COMM31
@CarpeTeachem So far, I only have two: Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR album and an Adele album, but I hope to expand my taste in music and eventually have a collection of different albums!
Got this over Christmas break, and ever since then, I’ve really enjoyed the nostalgic feeling of listening to music through vinyls! #COMM31@CarpeTeachem
