🚀 $10,000 Back-to-School App Challenge!
Builders — back-to-school is hectic, and we figured tech should be able to fix at least some of it.
So here’s the deal: build an amazing, smart app that makes back-to-school easier for students or families, anything that tames the chaos.
We're looking for powerful, sophisticated solutions. Show us what you can really do with Base44. We’ll give $10k to the best one. You read that right, ten thousand dollars 💸.
To enter, repost this with your app link by August 18th, 12:00 AM ET
We can’t wait to see what you build.

Your vibe-coded apps should not look vibe coded.
I see this mistake all the time 👇
People just prompt once and ship whatever the AI generates.
Without iteration, they all look the same: same gradients, same components, same feel.
With iteration, they look unique, intentional, and tailored to users’ needs.
Both of these were created in @base44. The difference is the extra prompts.

@gobienan Great use of the Loss Aversion principle! Instead of just talking about the benefits, you’re showing what people might miss out on if they don’t act.
Repetition is key to learning, but monotony kills motivation.
That’s why I built the “Surprise Me” feature in my @base44 Back-to-school App: it injects novelty into practice, keeping learners engaged without pulling them off track.

Did you know? 👀
When you use people or mascots in your design, where they look matters.
Our eyes naturally follow theirs, so if the character is facing the text or CTA, users are more likely to notice it too.

⏱️ 15 seconds. That’s all it takes to turn any study material into a quiz in Studetto, the app I built for @base44’s Back-to-school Challenge.
Next step? Adding a fun loading animation that explains what’s happening behind the scenes, turning wait time into an aha moment.

Have an app that needs user data before showing its value?
👉 Don’t make people work first.
Offer a 1-click demo view with the app fully filled in.
This reduces friction, shows the “aha!” moment fast, and builds trust before commitment.
Sometimes the best onboarding is Show, Don’t Ask.

Can you spot the key UX pattern in this quiz interaction?
👉 Instant feedback.
Instead of waiting until the end, learners know right away if they’re right or wrong, AND WHY.
That means:
✅ Misconceptions corrected instantly
✅ Motivation stays high
✅ Every question becomes a micro-lesson

As part of @base44’s Back-to-school challenge, I designed this Achievements page.
Each badge shows progress in real time, applying the Goal Gradient Effect: when people feel closer to a goal, they naturally increase their effort to reach it.
It’s a simple design, but it makes persistence visible, rewarding, and motivating.
UX Principle: Progress you can see is progress you’ll chase.

✨Another delightful interaction I created in @base44 for the Back-to-school challenge.
Students enter their name and instantly see a badge → sense of ownership, pride, and belonging.
A tiny example of the IKEA effect in design.
