Brittneyrose Torres was a surrogate carrying triplets, 2 boys and 1 girl.
The buyers told her to abort the girl.
Brittneyrose was to receive at least $25- 30k for carrying one baby and $5,000 extra for carrying two or more in her contract with the parents.
The biological parents claimed the contract included a provision which allowed them to tell Brittneyrose to abort, and they withheld payments unless she ended their daughter’s life.
The parents had been excited about the triplets in the beginning, then around 12 weeks they changed their minds.
Brittneyrose said she offered to adopt the baby girl, but the parents refused.
Price tags. Contracts. Payments.
Surrogacy reduces human beings to products and commodities, to be discarded at the convenience of the buyer.
Do you think he realizes how transparent his manipulations are? “I’ll say that inclusive women are prettier, and that will make all women want to be inclusive!”
Sure, John — because what women care about is whether or not giant transvestites think we’re pretty. 🙄 You’re embarrassing yourself.
When I was a child, my mum told me not to speak to strangers or go anywhere with them.
I asked what I should do if I got lost.
She said I should find an adult, explain that I'd been separated from my parents and ask for help.
Ideally, she said, find a woman.
Even better, a woman with a baby or small children, who could stay with me and ask another adult to help.
This was long before anyone talked about "safeguarding". But my mum instinctively understood that I was far less likely to come to harm from a woman than from a man.
I've since heard countless women say they were given the same advice and have passed it on to their own children.
Which is why I find some of the responses to the cancelled Camborne library drag story event so extraordinary.
Much of the discussion on the public posts about it focuses on the feelings of the performers, Ginger and Roxie: how hard they've worked, how well-intentioned they are and how upset they must feel.
In other words, putting the feelings of adult males first, without really engaging with why some parents are uncomfortable with men dressed as women reading stories to young children or performing at children's events.
Saying that drag performers are not appropriate for children's libraries or parties is not a judgement on any individual person or their intentions.
Even aside from concerns about adult entertainers performing for children, there are legitimate concerns around the messages we give children about sex, boundaries and risk.
Children trust adults.
They believe what adults tell them.
If children are told that Ginger and Roxie are a type of woman, or that men who wear women's clothes and make-up can literally become women, many children will simply accept that as true.
Especially if children find them entertaining and fun - as I'm sure they do.
That strikes me as a confusing message to give young children, particularly when, in other contexts, we teach them that sex matters when understanding the world and keeping themselves safe.
What I struggle to understand is why raising these concerns so often provokes outrage rather than reflection.
And why protecting the feelings of adult males is so often treated as more important than helping children develop the clear boundaries and understanding they need to keep themselves safe.
@jk_rowling Funny how it was never a "complex situation" when violent, pervy men were being forced on women against their will. It's like being "sorry" bc you were caught.
“A woman should not need to recount the worst day of her life at the hands of a man simply to say this space is for us. No means no, remember? That principle applied to consent. It applies here too.”

AMAZING
This is the UN.
Look at the face of the UN special rapporteur who is meant to stand up for women but has refused, again and again, to speak up for Israeli women.
Look at her face when a former hostage challenges her.
🇧🇷 A Brazilian judge just sentenced two parents to prison for homeschooling their daughters.
Their crime, according to the court: "intellectual neglect" and not teaching state-approved "gender and sex education."
The girls are 15 and 11. They speak multiple languages and are both accomplished pianists.
An independent psychologist found zero signs of neglect. The prosecutor recommended acquittal.
The judge convicted them anyway. 50 days behind bars.
It's the first time in Brazilian history parents have been criminally prosecuted for homeschooling.
The mother's response: "I cannot conceive a more dictatorial state than the one that wants me in jail because I chose to exercise my right to direct the education and upbringing of my daughters."
Their case is now headed to appeal.

On her last day as Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard declassified the COVID cover-up.
Never-before-seen documents. Fauci's fingerprints on the intelligence itself. A lie told to Congress under oath.
Here is what just dropped. 🧵
A teen boy on puberty blockers goes to a urologist because he was wetting his pants in class
Also his pee was strawberry colored from blood and skin flakes
Boy and his mom ask if the incontinence and bloody urine might be side effects from puberty blockers
The transition-friendly urologist says nah, transition drugs are totally safe, the problem is you're holding in your pee *too much*
A few months after stopping the puberty blockers, the boy stopped peeing blood
The urologist was charged this year for allegedly having thousands of pornographic pictures of children
When WPATH said its Standards of Care 8 was evidence-based, they were lying.
When they said it was science-based, they were lying.
When they said “gender affirming care” was medically necessary, they were lying.
Last year, I asked who had the power to legally destroy them.
Today, the Federal Trade Commission stepped up to the task.
Cross sex hormones are not HRT. The clue is in the name. Hormone replacement treatment replaces small amounts of naturally occurring hormones that have diminished with age. Cross sex hormones don’t replace anything. They are intended to disrupt the body’s hormonal balance.
