My recent simple post below of limited point who, not how, ended terrorism in Punjab without giving any character certificate to anyone has badly rattled and activated the entire cabal of terror and extremism supporters so much that they started abusing and threatening me, though nothing new. Imagine how intolerant and violent they would have been when they actually ran their unhindered writ in Punjab killing thousands of innocents. For those talking of massacre of Nov 1984 in Delhi, as a victim myself, I squarely hold the Punjab terrorism, its cheerleaders and its inspired people directly responsible for that. That said many of the accused of committing police excesses and extra-judicial killings have been punished. Some cases may still be under trial. Let every guilty be punished in severest manner. I’m the last man to oppose that.
Now let me tell you what’s politics. Those scared of and wanting the Frankenstein Monster out of their way till June 1984 but calling him Shaheed today is politics. Calling mass murderers, r@pists, extortionists and looters Shaheed is politics. Dirty politics. Hateful politics. Sinful politics. Opportunism. 👇

Brotherhood with Sikhs does not mean normalising everything. This is a gurdwara in Jammu where a poster of Bhindranwale is prominently displayed. Those who routinely invoke "Hindu Sikh unity" should also be willing to acknowledge uncomfortable realities. Genuine unity is built on honesty, not selective silence.

Started watching Satluj. In the first 15 mins, there is a scene where Diljit goes to a police station to file a missing report. The police guy looks at the pic and says “It’s the mother of that Aatankwadi (terrorist)”

Kharku is a term which means a fearless fighter, something which the Khalistanis forced local media to call them. If someone resisted they were threatened or eliminated. A protagonist using a term, which is compliant with terrorists shows where the sympathies of this film lies. Laughable how people are batting for it.

Why?

Because the SGPC put it there.
He was killed in 1984.
The portrait went up in November 2007.
A gap of 23 years.
If Sikhs wanted it, ask yourself why the delay?
There is no answer that saves the SGPC.
There have been NO elections since 2011.
NONE.

This is not a representative body.
It is a captured institution, funded by foreign Khalistani money, answering to outsiders, not to the Sikh community.
Ordinary Sikhs have ZERO control.
The SGPC acts.
The community suffers the consequences.

The portrait is NOT a symbol of faith.
It is a symbol of OCCUPATION, imposed by an unelected, unaccountable, foreign-funded apparatus that does NOT speak for Sikhs.
The question is NOT whether Sikhs oppose Bhindranwale.
They do.
The question is who gave the SGPC the right to pretend otherwise.

But those saying look how state and law which is supposed to protect its people were found wanting in the troubled times are silent on the state being in absolute control of separatists till then.
That these Khalistanis were actively being funded by Pakistan, killed a PM is well known.
That they continue to be well funded and issue threats from countries like US , Canada and UK should be a cause of concern especially in the times of digital platforms controlling narratives.

KPS Gill’s personal transgressions aside, he did what a police officer incharge of a border state on fire was supposed to do. A man incharge at that point takes a decision he best understands in that moment of history not deterring in taking a decision on the basis of how a movie several years down the line will portray him or his work. However banning any movie brings more focus on the subject, let people be the best judge and decide their version of the truth and Indians in the recent past have seen enough versions of history to be able to decipher.

On the debate sparked by ‘Satluj’, I see many people here asking “why Hindus have never managed to align themselves politically in Punjab?!”.
As a Punjabi Hindu I feel this is because we have never managed to see Sikhs as separate from us. We have never really understood why we have been targeted and killed by Khalistanis.
Disputes over state boundaries, river water sharing, language…were these kind of petty reasons enough to tear the blood bond that Punjabi Hindus and Sikhs shared for centuries and start a lame separatist movement?! Was it not obvious that the country’s only martial community was being weaponised against itself by vested interests?!
Is it fair to blame all Hindus for the heinous crimes of 1984 for which only one political party was responsible?!
Is it fair to bury the thousands of stories of violence and rape by Khalistanis before 1984?!
To me, the widening rift between Hindus and Sikhs is a source of personal anguish.
A Sikh brother once said to me, “Hindus and Sikhs are like a finger and its nail: They are inseparable.”
Praying that all Punjabis can see past their anger, something which they are prone to, to find love and brotherhood again, which they are known for.
