Who Are the Khawārij?
In our time, the term “Khawārij” has been stripped of much of its original meaning, reduced to little more than a slur hurled at those with whom one disagrees.
Imām al-Ḥajjāwī (d. 968 AH), in al-Iqnāʿ, discusses four categories of those who rebel against the ruler and their respective rulings, he also explicitly identifies the Khawārij:
1. Those who rebel without any taʾwīl:
‣ They are treated according to the rulings of highway robbers.
2. Those who rebel with taʾwīl but lack strength:
‣ Such as a small group without sufficient force. They likewise fall under the rulings applicable to highway robbers.
3. The Khawārij who declare Muslims disbelievers on account of sins:
‣ They declared ʿUthmān, ʿAlī, Ṭalḥah, al-Zubayr and numerous other Companions to be disbelievers, and regarded Muslim blood as lawful. Al-Ḥajjāwī discusses their distinct ruling, including the permissibility of initiating fighting against them.
4. A group from Ahl al-Ḥaqq who rebel with taʾwīl and strength:
‣ They possess a taʾwīl (whether correct or mistaken) and sufficient strength. They are treated as bughāh (rebels), under the specific rulings governing rebellion, rather than being automatically classified with the Khawārij described above.
This is why I never want to be associated with the Salafi label.
You call yourselves Salafis, then defend a regime that openly wages war on Allah's religion and the Muslims. That isn't the manhaj of the Salaf. It's a betrayal of it.
The Salaf are free from you.
@korrathetaymi Is literally Sudanese and is taking the position of her own government—that the UAE are guilty of funding the RSF’s genocide.
Apparently “obey your ruler” doesn’t apply here.
Not only is affirming Islam for MBZ after knowing what he does, Riddah in and of itself, but to then say Takfir’ing him makes you upon the Aqeedah of the Khawarij…? These Zanadiqa find new ways to exit the fold of Islam every day.
@Salafization1@korrathetaymi If you defend a Zionist enemy of Islam like him and believe that he is a Muslim, you are not just outside Salafiyyah; you’re outside Islam altogether. You r-tards have nothing to do with Salafiyyah.
Oh ok so if this is the aqeedah of the Khawarij then when Saʿd al-Šhaṯhrī attributed the "khariji" belief @korrathetaymi to the jumhur of ulama then hes a khariji too? Just keep in mind, hes from the kibar of the scholars in saudi and fawzan made defenses of him a lot.
I've come across these alleged Discord screenshots attributed to @korrathetaymi, apparently making takfir of MBZ.
I don't use Discord and cannot verify their authenticity.
Korra, can you confirm whether these statements are yours? Do you hold the aqīdah of the Khawārij and make takfīr of Muslim rulers?
These are serious theological matters that require clarification, especially when you publicly affiliate yourself with Salafiyyah.
I'm asking directly out of fairness and to establish the facts before passing judgment. If anyone can independently verify these screenshots, please come forward with the evidence.
@Maqdishi_ Even if you view them to be Khawarij you take their testimony because their 3adalah is upright, even though at most you would say theyre "fasiqin", it doesnt detest that their testimony can be accepted of what they say and narrate. Khatib mentioned this in his kifayah.
@Hanbali2024@Tarrasbulba123@muslimorthodoxy The madakhilah are those who dont conform to the correct view of the major scholars that legislation of qawanin is major kufr.
You shouldn't agree with them
@Milat_at_Tawhid@muslimorthodoxy they were pressing him about sitting with hijab in public you dingus, you weren't even there so don't speak about libyano as if hes in the wrong
A lot of people interestingly say the "Older" View of Shaykh Ibn al-Uthaymin, where ruling by the Sharīʿah among the people is abolished and another ruling, devised by human beings is put in its place, was only considered major disbelief by him under the umbrella that this action necessitates an i'tiqad.
However that's not his only reason "back then", and rather he also said such a thing fell under major shirk:
Ibn al Uthaymin said:
"Ruling by other than what Allāh has revealed is divided into two categories:
The First Category: That the ruling of Allāh is invalidated so that another, ṭāghūt-based rulings may take its place, such that ruling by the Sharīʿah among the people is abolished and another ruling, devised by human beings, is put in its place. This is like those who set aside the Sharīʿah rulings concerning dealings among the people and replace them with man-made laws.
There is no doubt that such a person has substituted something else for the Sharīʿah of Allāh, Glorified and Exalted is He. This is disbelief that takes one outside the religion, because this person has placed himself in the position of the Creator, in that he has legislated for the servants of Allāh that for which Allāh has given no permission — rather, that which contradicts the ruling of Allāh, Mighty and Majestic — and has made it the decisive judgement between the creation. Allāh, Exalted is He, has called that shirk in His saying: “Or do they have partners who have legislated for them in the religion that for which Allāh has given no permission?” [Sūrat al-Shūrā, 42:21] ...."

So when you hear people saying his "Older View" was based upon the fact that the act of replacing the Islamic Sharīʿah didn't happen except because they believe them to be better and more beneficial for creation.
This isn't true.
It's one of his reasonings as to why he said it was Major Disbelief, but he also put it under the umbrella of Major Shirk.
Shaykh Abdullah al-Qa'ud, Shaykh Bakr Abu Zayd have mentioned similar too.
@RealAbuisa in sha' allah let me know if you have a response, or we can both agree here that Ibn Zayd never spoke about legislation in how M24 or what we understand it as.
Mishnah isnt even about tashri, because if you read the tafsir of tabari rather than just reading one tafsir on your part, the Jews with their written book were being bribed, then judging by that book.
In this image, Tabari's frame is that the Jews were taking bribes (1)
Ahki I wanted to show you zayd was speaking about laws general legislation like the Mishnah
Not tark al hukm or letters like some people cope
And btw not saying you take from these people Ahki but generally people who hold ur belief say theirs iktilaf in 1tark al hukm if kufr
Clearly, from this we are understanding that the Imams of tafsir were discussing about the qada' (judicial rulings), bribery and disputes individually. They all mention حكم in a specific meaning, and it was qualified when Tabari at the end says they were unjust in قضاء.
