@Howard1963OT@TommyGorman37 What’s my opinion?
The consultation with the supporters is bollox, they’d have went with the new stadium regardless, it was just to protect backlash
You’d imagine 80-90% of people who’ve been to Old Trafford regularly would be against getting rid of it?
@Howard1963OT@TommyGorman37 “It’s the fans that make the stadium and they certainly will”
A lot of United’s hardcore support that “makes the stadium” has been priced out already and there’ll be a lot more after this new stadium
It’ll be tourist central
And the consultation with the fans is bollox
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders But overall his transfer spend was less than other clubs. Other clubs could spend 15 million on 3 players in total, whereas Ferguson might spend 10 million on one world class player, so he was spending less in total
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders Mentioning a high wage bill has nothing to do with the amount of money Ferguson spent on transfers compared to other clubs. I’m well aware Ferguson broke the transfer record, but that would usually be the majority of his business. He’d buy big players on big wages
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders No one needs to grow up
Stop replying to what I’m saying if it’s boring and tragic
You literally said Ferguson didn’t win without spending, that’s completely wrong
Hence I showed u from 1992-2001, 10 other clubs outspent United, and Ferguson won 7 league titles
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders “We know that when Fergie wasn’t spending he wasn’t winning”
Sir Alex Fergusons money spent from 1992-2001, where he won 7 Premier Leagues 😂😂😂😂😂
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders So what about when the other clubs did close the gaps? Ferguson continued to win.
From 1992-2013, Fergusons era of majority winning, he had still spent the 4th most. He was winning a lot more than Chelsea and Man City even after they’d spent the money to close the gaps
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders What your saying favours Ferguson
Man City and Chelsea spent huge money to compete with Man United, but Ferguson still kept winning
Chelsea and City from 1992-2013 had outspent Ferguson, and Ferguson was still winning majority
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ Fairs but a bigger club doesn’t change overnight or over a few seasons
It would take decades of United’s fanbase and appeal to start declining before Liverpool would ever be considered bigger
Man United are still the face of the premier league, because they have the most support
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ It doesn’t make sense for Liverpool to be bigger than United and be behind in fanbase, club value and sponsorship money. Every metric that points to who’s a “bigger” worldwide club goes to United
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ Adidas pay United more money because United have bigger global appeal and following because they are “bigger” that’s exactly why
Any reason to why United are valued at close to a billion pounds more than Liverpool, even tho they are a smaller club?
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ On every metric I’ve named Liverpool have been behind Man Utd for the last 30 years. And United have had a higher revenue than Liverpool 90% of the time which I said, and it’ll be higher again when they are back in Europe
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders Pep has spent more compared to other “elite clubs” than Ferguson did. Your point about elite clubs spending more now doesn’t make sense, because the other 3 clubs to outspend Ferguson were all elite
That’s not an opinion.
@MancBastard1880@__scottsaunders Your counter argument is that elite clubs now are expected to spend more
It was the exact same during Ferguson reign, because the only clubs who outspent Ferguson from 1986-2013 was Liverpool City and Chelsea who are all “elite clubs”
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ United have a bigger fanbase in England and worldwide, have a bigger social media following, have a far higher club value, bigger revenues 90% of the time, and bigger commercially
Liverpool can’t be “bigger” than United, and be behind on every one of them metrics for last 30 yrs
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ Yep I meant next year
When both clubs are in Europe Man United are going to have higher revenue than Liverpool
Take Adidas, a club who sponsors both clubs, gave United a bigger contract on bigger money
And they’ll give United more money now again for being in UCL
@Tex1340640@blvcksnow_@odinlad_ United are valued nearly a billion pounds more than Liverpool
When last did Liverpool make more revenue than United bar last season?
We’ll see the revenue this year, when they’re both in Europe
