Did you know that the mother of #womenbasketball was a Jewish girl from #Lithuania?

Senda Berenson Abbott was born in Vilnius in 1868. She moved to Boston in 1875. She taught basketball to the women of Smith college in 1892, just a year after the men’s version had been invented.
