@AGlasgowGirl One of my great uncles served in the British Indian army and was captured by the Japanese as a PoW in Burma. My other g uncle was in the Indian RAF and was sent to Britain in 1942 to serve in the RAF here. He recieved numerous medals including 2 Burma stars.
