Title IX of the Education Amendments Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex for all educational programs or activities that receive funding from the federal government. The law, went into effect on July 1, 1972.

On Oct. 13, 1967, President Johnson signed the Executive Order 11375, which prohibits federal contractors from employment practices that discriminate on the basis of sex, laying the groundwork for future gender-equity legislation.

It is June 2022. This month Title IX is turning 50 years old. Many important milestones were reached since Title IX was signed into the law on June 23rd 1972. We want to speak about milestones and the effectiveness of Title IX all June.
