This research team is a collaborative effort between USMA, USAFA, UCF, and STTC with the goal of examining various forms of technology and their ability to enhance situation awareness for the combat commander.
On 14 December, Engineering Psychology Cadets, Heather Graham ‘22 and Cole Wyman ’22, with advisor Dr. Michael Boyce presented their PL386 Experimental Psychology research project to the Multi Domain Operations research team. #bsl#usma#westpoint
The research team consisted of Dr. Mica Endsley, the leading scientist in the domain of Situation Awareness, Dr. Ben Sawyer, a lead researcher from the University of Central Florida (UCF), and members of the SFC Paul Ray Smith Simulation & Training Technology Center (STTC).
Cadet Walker is a Regimental Commander and is currently majoring in Operations Research. Walker is also captain of the Army Boxing Team and last year placed 2nd nationally in her weight class. Cadet Walker will study sociology and statistical science at Oxford.
Cadet Bender will graduate with a B.S. in Engineering Management and currently serves as the Deputy Brigade Commander. Tyrese is also captain of a Division I track and field team and a champion triple jumper. As a Rhodes Scholar Tyrese hopes to pursue an MSc in Sociology.
Congratulations to Cadets Tyrese Bender and Evan Walker on receiving the Rhodes Scholarship! Bender and Walker are the 95th and 96th West Point cadets to be named Rhodes Scholars. This marks the first time since 2014 that two members of the Corps of Cadets received the honor.

Officers in the Eisenhower Leader Development Program (our Master’s Degree program at Columbia University for incoming TAC officers) work on a case study at West Point’s Trophy Point as part of their course in Cross-Cultural and Strategic Leadership taught by COL Todd Woodruff.
Class of 1951 Distinguished Lecture Series titled Leading and Winning with Integrity. It was a great discussion with President LTG(R) Caslen and Dr. Mike Matthews. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Angela Duckworth from the University of Pennsylvania.
