NEWS: The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted and destroyed a hostile drone south of Makkah Al-Mukarramah on Tuesday evening, before it could enter the prohibited airspace of the Holy City, according to the Saudi Joint Forces Command.

Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki said the drone had been launched by the terrorist Houthi militia, describing the incident as the second attempt to target Makkah after the 2017 ballistic-missile incident.

The Joint Forces Command stressed:

“The security of the Two Holy Mosques and the pilgrims is a red line.”

Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia are extremely dangerous.

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, combined with Houthi control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait, has created severe difficulties for the global supply chain.

A wave of inflation has particularly engulfed developing nations; countries linked to this supply chain—including the Gulf states, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt—are grappling with acute economic challenges.

US and Zionist aggression against Gaza and Iran has plunged the world into instability. Instability has been further exacerbated by the tendency of both Iran and Saudi Arabia to propagate their respective ideologies as a primary line of defense.

Reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia is a crucial factor; the security of both nations is inextricably linked to our own security and stability.

Throughout this process, the US role has been characterized by greed, hypocrisy, aggression, and imperialism.

Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, and Egypt, with the support of other regional powers, must continue to play an active role in fostering lasting peace.
