Week 3 at @AIColonyAcademy was purely learning by breaking things.
This week, we added actual intelligence to our workflows using LLMs (AI automation🤌🏽).
Here’s how I built an AI-powered WhatsApp Frontdesk Bot for business owners, plus all the chaos that happened in-between.👇🏽
@Boluwatife_4@AIColonyAcademy The hand-off takes place in the WhatsApp message nodes. When an order is placed, instead of the bot sending a message back to the customer confirming their order or anything like that, it sends a message to the owner with the order detail and the customer's number
@AIColonyAcademy With the logic in place, I thought I was in the clear until deployment triggered the real madness.😂
Sent a single text and watched the bot spam me 99 times back-to-back. Once I fixed that infinite loop, expiring Meta credentials took over. Meta docs really test your faith.
@AIColonyAcademy For week 1 assignment, I built a simple telegram chatbot.
It listens for new Google Form registrations and announces them directly in a community group chat. Think discord bots, but for community engagement on telegram.
@AIColonyAcademy It's Week 3 already, and I can't wait to dive into the next workflow. I might expand on what I currently have, or build something entirely new. We'll find out!
@AIColonyAcademy The best part? While all this background sorting and emailing happens, the Telegram bot still seamlessly captures the registration order and drops the notification in the group chat.
@AIColonyAcademy Week 1 introduced n8n and workflow fundamentals. Built a simple workflow with a single trigger and action. I also deployed my self-hosted n8n app, which happened to be the most challenging part of week one. It seemed relatively easier and straightforward after figure it out sha.
