Family, dog, bridge, chess, baseball, hockey, soccer and the occasional 13.1. #vss365 -- spending the spring and summer of 2024 writing fiction and software
Hey Friends- many of you know my fiction from #vss365. I am taking time off from full-time work to try my hand at longer-form stories. I am chronicling the journey at https://t.co/40gHbAWzlq. I uploaded my first story today: https://t.co/25S8A9e0xx - I hope you like it. :)
@redsoxstats i give it a B-. too much grady and nomar, too much millar and pedro, not enough of some of the other guys. i mean, manny was ws mvp, and they basically portray him as guy upset in 2003. not enough bellhorn, pokey, … the wake tribute was an afterthought. theo, torre stuff good
@CharlotteA98_ thanks for replying to my tweet. it should have been obvious to you that based on the situation in EWR i was high risk in missing my connection. i think i should have been given the option to not fly to charlotte and try to get closer to wisconsin some other way.
dont tell me you don’t know. the pilot explained that there were 50 planes on the runway because of air traffic staffing issues. what was our 11:40 flight the first to sit on the runway for 80 minutes?
dear @AmericanAir i find it irresponsible when you know hours before a flight that there are air traffic delays that likely will make me miss my connection—and don’t tell me, and have me board anyway. now im stuck in different city for 6+ hours with far fewer options.
new blog post up at https://t.co/5cVjeeL0Rf, including mini-reviews of the 6 books I read over the summer and a link to my last NYC Midnight submission (a 1000-word romance :-o)
Listened to @catvalente 's The Past is Red on a recent road trip. Phenomenal. The audiobook added spunk to a protagonist already overflowing with character. This one will stick with me for a long time. Well done Cat!
