Hey @UPS I know you need my tax id/ssn to release my international package, but there has to be a better way than your employees asking me to email it to them. I'm just not comfortable with that kind of PII going over email and being stored in your employees email boxes.
I have a new toy. A CNC router with laser and plasma attachments. It's a pretty steep learning curve.
These dovetails are a pretty changing project. 3d modeled for a tight fit. So far "very not bad".
This one is so cool. Fleet is going critical to the idea of pushing #Kubernetes to the edge. @ibuildthecloud and our team developed this after talking to dozens of teams who were using #k3s in distributed ways, and wondering how to manage thousands of cluster groups.
@smw355@ibuildthecloud Read the blog and repo. Want to get my brain around the possibilities. Looking forward to the demo. I really dig the push to gitops. Thanks for the hard work.
@GimmeBuilds Yes. We're doing assembly line style. Do a process and pass it down the line.
First we cut template pieces for the face shield and plastic strips.
Mark the shield plastic, punch holes, cut the chin, cut straps, cut ears, assemble frame, ream holes for hair tie, attach shield.
@LinusTech y'all promote a lot of @dbrand over there. Is using the shortage of PPE as a marketing gimmick to sell product, the kind of thing your brand represents?

Hey @dbrand robots, normally I like your style, but using "buy our stuff and we will donate some masks" as a marketing gimmick is some weak sauce.
How about you just donate your stash of masks to those hospitals so they can be put to good use.

People have been asking how they can help us make PPE for docs. You can check out @MasksForDocs to donate there, or if you want to directly support us we've got an Amazon wishlist for supplies. #makersvsvirus#3Dprinting#Quarantine#Coronavirustruth https://t.co/7njIjYTNmX
@usrbinjgreat@LinusTech Nvm - we see you, Jason. Still a bitch, though.
Send us the contact details for Maury Regional, we'll send 500 masks their way.
@SC2Junkie @LinusTech@dbrand Did I? I challenge you to make 38 face shields for your local hospital. You don't even need a 3d printer - You can use these instructions from @GimmeBuilds here: https://t.co/BqOvDBb7es
@dbrand@LinusTech Yeah...I'm the bitch? People like me are donating their time and money to do what they can to relieve critical shortages of PPE for our hospitals and first responders. While companies like you are diverting "tens of thousands" of those needed supplies for marketing purposes.

@GimmeBuilds@donttrythis@testedcom Maury Regional got back to me on the prototype I sent down there. They like the design! We're going to start making more.
I have enough supplies for about 100
For the next batch I'm looking to build some these from @GimmeBuilds https://t.co/BqOvDBb7es
Not as cool as printing, but faster a cheaper to make. Can probably knock out 100 in a weekend vs 40 in a week.
Sending a prototype down Maury Regional on Monday
