@itsginnydi I think it's fun to play naive characters. In my first campaign, we ran into a group of bandits who tried to rob us. My bard thought they were beggars and offered to share his rations with them.
@itsginnydi@Critical_Mrs My first character was "me, but with magic powers." My most recent character was a Kobold warlock with undiagnosed ADHD who tried to blend in with the crowd with a Hat of Disguise... so, me again.
@itsginnydi Not really the same thing, but there's a pen-and-paper combat game on DriveThruRPG called "Something Went Wrong". The GM rotates every combat round. During that round, their character is paralyzed by fear and can't act, but they can't be attacked.
@Megs5674@TheeDocHolliday Life was so much better back in the good old days, when kids who survived polio could look forward to spending the rest of their lives in an iron lung. My parents took away my chance to experience polio before I was old enough to consent.
@epicdndmemes They can still sue you, even if you're in the right. They can drag the suit out until you run out of money because our justice system is pay-to-win.
Five goooolden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens,Two turtledoves,
But they were all of them deceived, for another gift was made, in the pear tree, the dark lord Sauron forged a master partridge to control the others…
@itsginnydi Plot twist: a rival necromancer grants your zombies free will... then convinces them to unionize. Good luck keeping your operation running when you have to pay an unliving wage to your entire undead horde. And then there's AD&D insurance.
@SageAdviceDnD "Weapon attacks" are meant to contrast with "spell attacks", right? In that sense, an unarmed strike is a weapon attack, even though it doesn't use a weapon. The wording could be clearer.
