This week for Chem@Home we are doing the very standard cabbage indicator experiment! Making the indicator is easy and the colours are very rewarding! What is really cool is boiling fizzy water with the indicator gives one near the full range of colours, due to loss of CO2!
This week for Chem@Home we are fermenting! Find the science and method in the pictures below, and don't forget to sign-up for the mailing list! Fermenting foods is something that really opened up a new door and way of thinking about food! Enjoy!
With the second Lockdown in place the class reps and I have started a chemistry @ home series, wherein each week we present an experiment that can be done at home, as a stand-in for labs. This week we are making #rockcandy#scienceathome
