Anyone who knows anything about the Bible knows that God’s promise of making Abraham a father of many nations extended to Ishmael, his son with Hagar, an Egyptian slave.

As a matter of fact, Hagar is known to be the first person after Adam, Eve and Cain, whom God addresses directly.

God told Hagar that he had seen her suffering and heard her cries. He promised Hagar that He would make Ishmael the father of a great nation. That nation being the Arab world.

So, God hears Hagar’s cries in the desert, shows her and Ishmael mercy and kindness, promises that Ishmael will be the father of a great nation then is going to turn around and be okay with the obliteration of that nation?

No, I don’t think so.

That’s not the God of the Bible. Anyone who says otherwise is not in tune with whom God is. They’re nothing more than crashing cymbals, having a form of Godliness (mostly lip service) but denying the power thereof.
