Nike literally gambled their whole basketball department on him and before he played a second in the NBA they were making a line dedicated to him. You think if the rugby ruleset allowed some of the things in football the same changes wouldn’t be made? Your point doesn’t prove how one’s athletes are tougher, just rules are different

The one argument I would say for soccer is that running/moving distance is a perpetual state while getting hit is incidental. You aren’t in a constant state of getting hit

I’m sure if they swapped when they were younger the European football player could take harder hits while the American soccer player could run miles longer

That’s why I don’t get the argument that soccer players would wind up getting injured when people of their size are able to play. Hell they can even specialize and just be a punter or kicker lol

And they need equipment bc ppl of all sizes play football while everyone that plays rugby is roughly the same size. They need to protect a Russel Wilson from a Vince Wilfork

When the creative direction differs and views dry up, it can make sense that he was probably at least a little disgruntled
