Half of the United fanbase on Twitter haven’t even witnessed their own team win the league.

They haven’t seen their club win a UCL knockout game in 7 years.

They wanted the return of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as manager and during international breaks reminisce about Antonio Valencia; but STILL think the standards of this club match up to Real Madrids.

The reason this fanbase still call for the manager’s head over and over is because they still subconsciously believe that there’s a short term fix for Manchester United.

Many people believe that we could simply appoint a ‘good manager’, get a few wins together, and all the problems would vanish.

The harsh reality that people need to swallow is this will not be fixed fast.

When a club is so neglected over a 10+ year period, the rot extends and extends. It can’t be cleaned up with a paintbrush.

It was why I was willing to give Amorim time, because he knew what needed to change across the next 2/3 years internally.
