GQ: I’d like to say that one of the reasons BTS has no choice but to continue growing without stopping is that the members are each other’s fans. There’s also the attitude of taking the other person as a teacher and willingly becoming a student themselves. Looking at each of the members, what aspects of one another do you think give you the strength to continue being each other’s fans?
🐿️: That’s how I feel now. You know how when you go to a museum and look at works of art, you get inspired and think about how you can take that inspiration and express it in your own way? I think we’re like that too. All of the members are artists, each with their own works. Because everything each person draws, envisions, thinks about, and expresses is different, it’s always fascinating, and there’s so much to learn from. As time goes by, I feel like I can see more and more things to learn from the members.
GQ: As if there were seven museums. I sometimes feel of J-Hope as ‘the final puzzle piece.’ Wherever he is, I feel like he’s someone who willingly changes into whatever shape is missing there so that he can fit perfectly. What is J-Hope’s secret to being able to excel in his role as 1/7 of BTS while still preserving his identity as an artist in his own right.
🐿️: You just need to protect it! So that the things I love don’t get hurt. I think that one feeling is what made the J-Hope of today.
