👷 Your teen has the chance to delve into an exciting profession and experience campus life at this overnight camp! ⛏️
Students will tour a foundry, visit a real working site, join a scavenger hunt and learn about all that mining engineering has to offer! This camp is designed to help future Miners build teamwork and critical thinking skills that are needed to stand out from the crowd and prepare for their future careers. 💫
Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register by June 8.

#PicksUp to the talented UTEP students in the El Paso Opera (EPO) Junior Artists program, who are working as performers and technical staff in EPO’s unique new production of Bohemios, based on the same source material as La Bohème.
This weekend's four-day run is bringing FREE performances straight to the community, with locations including the Mexican Consulate in Downtown El Paso, the Sylvia A. Carreon Recreation Center in the Lower Valley, The Beast Recreation Center in far East El Paso and Keystone Heritage Park in the Upper Valley.
The Junior Artists are supported by the Liberal Arts Community Engagement initiative, a @UTEPLiberalArts effort that supports community-centered research and performance projects over the summer.

The UTEP College of Nursing celebrated its Spring 2026 graduating class this week with a Pinning Ceremony honoring the completion of the BSN degree. The milestone comes as the college marks 50 years of training healthcare professionals in the Borderland.

For 65+ years, Joe Gomez ‘70 gave his heart, soul & time to support the Miners. He was a ‘66 team historian & HOF Committee member. He helped refurbish our athletics facilities & donated many pieces of memorabilia. He is a beloved Miner and man and will be missed tremendously.

Geronimo Tapia earned his Ph.D. in biosciences today after successfully defending his dissertation. His record of achievements and research on brain networks led him to a job at a science lab in Houston. Congratulations, Geronimo!
