Praise be to Allah. My father, Dr. @AbbaHydara, won the 2026 @HeroesAwards for HealthCare Excellence. I accepted it on his behalf, filled with pride. Thank you to everyone who voted. Congrats to all the incredible nominees. 🇬🇲👁️🏆
Grateful to The Point and The Voice newspapers for publishing our ICJ stance. Thanks to Fatu Network, VOD Media, N24 Gambia. To those still pending, we see you. The demand for answers isn't going away. 🇬🇲 #ClimateJustice#WhereWasOurVote
OFFICIAL: 141 nations voted yes. The Gambia went silent. We’re done waiting. Our press release demands immediate answers from the government. Read and share. The silence ends now. 🇬🇲 #ClimateJustice#WhereWasOurVote#NoMoreSilence@GambiaMoFA
141 nations stood up for climate accountability. The Gambia stood aside. For a frontline nation like ours, abstaining when you should be shouting isn’t neutrality, it’s a quiet betrayal.
We deserve to know why.
Four days. 50 youth. One movement. 🇬🇲
We closed the #SPSI training equipped and inspired. Profound thanks to my brother Musa Juwara, Dr. Fatty, and @FAOGambia for the trust and investment. The future of Gambia’s food systems is young, evidence-driven, and ready. Onward.
Day 1 done! ✅ Proud to co-facilitate this SPSI training with @FAOGambia & @UTG. 50 students from Agric, Law & Social Sciences are ready to bridge science, policy & society for 🇬🇲 food systems. On to Day 2! #YouthInAction#FoodSystem
🎓🇬🇲 Huge congratulations to our North Bank Regional Coordinator, Mr. Alieu Jallow, for earning his MSc in Chemistry from the American University!

🏨 Tourism = 20% of our GDP and 15% of jobs. But it’s highly exposed to climate risks. CCDR calls for a green tourism framework: eco‑certification, better zoning, and protecting our coasts with nature. Let’s turn our beaches into resilient engines of growth. #SustainableTourism
⚡ The CCDR says scaling solar and clean cooking can cut energy costs in half and save lives. Only 2% of Gambians have access to clean cooking; this must change for our health, our forests, and our women. #CleanEnergy#SDG7#TheGambia
🏝️ The CCDR’s most dramatic finding: #Banjul could be submerged by 2100 if we don’t act. Sea-level rise threatens 200,000+ people and $2.1 billion in assets. The report calls for immediate coastal defenses AND long-term planning for a new resilient city. #SeaLevelRise#Climate
The Bureau with support from the GIRAV Project , today inaugurated the Sectorial Committee for Rice, Maize, Tomato, Fresh Bulb Onions and Chilly Pepper Certification Schemes, bringing together key stakeholders to support the development and validation of certification rules.
The Bureau, through the Legal Metrology, conducted weighbridge verification at GPA, GMC, and Nessim Company.
This ensures fair trade between manufacturers and end users.
Today, we officially kicked off the Review & Validation of Specific Certification Rules for Rice & Maize at Bakadaji Hotel, bringing together experts across the value chain including producers, processors, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
🌾 CCDR warns: without adaptation, farm revenues could drop 20% by 2050. But irrigation + climate‑smart seeds & better market access can boost yields 40%. Invest in resilient agriculture to protect food & rural livelihoods. #FoodSecurity#ClimateSmartAg
🚨 JUST LAUNCHED: The Gambia's 🇬🇲CCDR by @WorldBank warns climate inaction could cost 13% of GDP by 2050 & risk losing Banjul to rising seas. But it also shows a path to a resilient, low-carbon future. Thread 🧵👇 #ClimateAction#TheGambia#CCDR
Our shoreline retreats 4.5m a year. 75% of our plastic chokes the land. 200,000 Gambians face flood risk. But 2,500 hectares of mangroves restored. 350,000 seedlings planted.
This coast will not shrink on our watch. #EarthDay2026#OurPowerOurPlanet#Gambia🇬🇲
