Drake has been unquestionably bad this season but McDaniels has been 5x worse — he has no feel for this team at all. F-minus so far. Cannot be criticized enough.
I’m horrified by the brutal attack on a Sikh truck driver who was stabbed 17 times at a Wyoming rest stop. This comes amid rising hatred targeting Sikh and South Asian Americans, with even the Trump Department of Homeland Security recently posting a racist caricature of a Sikh truck driver telling him to "get off our roads" and "self-deport or find out."
Those spreading this hate, including officials in our own federal government, need to stop. Those who turn it into violence must be held accountable. And all of us need to stand together against both. America must be better than this. I’m praying for Mr. Singh’s full recovery and grateful to the family whose quick action helped save his life.

There are legit and significant reasons why NFL GMs and advance scouts and personnel directors were concerned about the #Patriots entering this season. It goes well beyond Mike Vrabel's controversy, but it includes it as well:
What Mike Macdonald is doing to Drake Maye is reminiscent of what Bill Belichick did to Josh Allen in their early matchups.
It didn’t mean Allen was bad. It just forced him to reassess his weaknesses. (Allen had talked about it.)
Will Maye?
🚨 NOW WE KNOW WHO STOPPED APPLYING FOR H-1Bs WHEN THEY GOT EXPENSIVE.
The employer-by-employer numbers are stunning.
After the $100,000 H-1B fee:
Infosys: 8,886 -> 759 (-91%)
TCS: 5,955 -> 284 (-95%)
HCL: 3,855 -> 387 (-90%)
IBM: 2,855 -> 126 (-96%)
Accenture: 1,324 -> 79 (-94%)
Tech Mahindra: 1,027 -> 43 (-96%)
Wipro: 985 -> 112 (-89%)
And then there’s Cognizant.
Cognizant had 3,752 registrations last year, but no FY2027 figure appears for it in the published table.
That’s notable because 93% of Cognizant’s initial H-1B petitions were consular, meaning the prospective workers were coming from outside the United States.
USCIS itself says companies with consular-heavy pipelines, specifically naming Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and HCL, saw registrations fall by the thousands.
These aren’t small declines.
Several are roughly 90% to 96%.
And many of the biggest drops occurred at companies where the overwhelming majority of initial H-1B petitions involved workers coming from overseas.
Yet the H-1B cap still filled.
So here’s the question I’ve been asking:
If these workers were truly impossible to find in America, why did demand from some of the largest H-1B employers collapse the moment importing them became dramatically more expensive?

Just noticed this #NFL scheduling quirk that I didn't know could exist anymore ...
The #Raiders do not have a single Thursday night game, Monday night game, primetime game or international game. Every single game they play is on Sunday at 1pm EST or 4pm EST. I did not think that was possible anymore.
In 2006, Adam Vinatieri left the New England Patriots to sign with the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots selected his replacement, Stephen Gostkowski, in the 2006 NFL Draft. Both kickers played for those franchises for 14 seasons. A look at how those impressive tenures compare:
#Patriots QB Drake Maye had a negative EPA vs. two coverages last season: cover six and cover zero. Maye and McDaniels finding answers for those two schemes is something on my radar this summer.
More on the Pats QBs heading into training camp here.

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out.
He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations.
Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs.
If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose.

Highest Target Chased by India in T20WC
173 v SA, 2014 (Top Scorer: Virat Kohli 72*)
161 v AUS, 2016 (Top Scorer: Virat Kohli 82*)
160 v PAK, 2022 (Top Scorer: Virat Kohli 82*)
139 v BAN, 2014 (Top Scorer: Virat Kohli 57*)
In a big tournament chase, none of them stepped up today. India truly missed their greatest chaser.
