We know that after leading our team, Yulia will do a lot more useful things for veterans. And we are always ready to support and work tirelessly, bringing important projects to life together!
Veteran Yulia Kirillova became the acting executive director of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation!
Yulia was a participant of the Revolution of Dignity, volunteered, and in 2015 officially joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 25th battalion "Kyiv Rus".
In February 2022, she returned to the army again — as part of the TrO unit, she evacuated the wounded and accompanied convoys of the civilian population during the battles in the Kyiv region.
52% of veterans and 63% of active duty military want to be self-employed in the future.

One of the ways to recover from injuries sustained at the front is through physical activity. Sports activities help Ukrainian veterans not only regain their physical health but also regain their psychological balance.
Even so, everyone has their own motivation: some appreciate the sport for the opportunity to focus on victories and distract from heavy thoughts, others for the spirit of brotherhood that prevails in the team, and others for the opportunity to prove that nothing is impossible.

The mismatch in data indicates a deep gap between society's view on veterans' problems and the real challenges they face in life. The society has a belief that veterans must have psycho-emotional problems. This is a kind of stigmatization that can later turn into discrimination.
According to a nationwide survey, 86% of Ukrainians believe that veterans will suffer from psycho-emotional instability. At the same time, the latest analysis of veterans' attitudes shows that only 50.5% of veterans believe this problem is likely.
67% of civilian Ukrainians believe that when defenders return to civilian life, one of the main problems will be misunderstanding on the part of society. At the same time, a survey conducted by the Foundation in January showed that 63.3% of veterans felt misunderstood by society.
After some time in the army, Moisei continued to write music and make covers. In this way, he wants to spread information about the war in Ukraine and keep the world's attention on the events in our country.
Moisei Bondarenko, a violinist who is currently serving in the orchestra of the 59th Brigade, has become the new ambassador of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation.
The concert never took place. The violin was played not on stage, but in the military registration and enlistment office. Moisei was transferred to the 59th Brigade as a junior soldier.
To develop his business, Vasyl applied for a competition from the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation. And he became one of the winners. The funds were used to purchase equipment that helped improve production.
"It's a really great chance to realize what you dream of," says Vasyl.
Vasyl Semkiv is a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian War. For four years, he defended Ukraine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During a combat mission, he was wounded and discharged from service in 2019 for health reasons.
It is not easy for soldiers returning from the front to find a job. Vasyl had been designing furniture before the war, and his friend motivated him to take up this business again, and after the full-scale invasion began, the "Veteranfurniture" brand appeared in Ternopil.
