Join us for a landmark conference on the judgments of African Union human rights bodies, hosted by the South African National Research Foundation Chair in International Constitutional Law, the @CHR_HumanRights, @UPTuks, and Monash University.
Taking place on 25–26 June 2026 at Future Africa, University of Pretoria, this conference will bring together scholars, practitioners, and human rights experts to reflect on and critically engage with the evolving jurisprudence of African Union human rights bodies.
The conference will explore what makes a judgment "landmark" within the African human rights system and revisit selected decisions through innovative rewriting approaches. The event will be held in a hybrid format, and attendance is free of charge.
