🚨🗣 Egypt's Coach Hossam Hassan couldn't control himself after full-time:
"I will say what's on my mind regardless of the consequence, this was clearly a rigged match and the whole world saw it"
"And I want to say one more thing, if they want them [Argentina] to win so bad, why call everyone to come and participate?"
Erias Lukwago addresses the court via video link from Luzira prison regarding his health challenges and his request for bail to seek specialized medical attention in India.
If you are educated and then given responsibility to help the peasants with government programs ; then you cheat peasants! Are you educated , stupid , greedy or what ? Who will develop us if all we know is stealing?
The GENZs who were illegally arrested and detained for protesting against corruption in Parliament deserve an apology and possibly compensation. How could genuine whistleblowers be arrested and charged as criminals?
Shame upon AAA and her corroborators who selfishly malaigned the GENZs and caused their illegal arrest and detention. The GENZs have been vindicated!
The alleged sums in the charge sheets underscore the scale of the case:
1. Chris Obore (Communications) – UGX 5.253bn
2. Adilo Daniel (Human Resource) – UGX 14.609bn
3.Okema Leonard (Executive Secretary, Speaker’s Office) – UGX 3.489bn
4.Rajab Kaaya Ssemalulu (Principal Research Officer) – UGX 2.170bn
5.Otebata Vincent (Capacity Development Officer) – UGX 5.253bn.
What do people even do with this much money?
Judicial officers are finally beginning to remember their religious doctrines when it matters the most. What really makes a judicial officer to have to remind herself of her duty this way? Judicial independence must be maintained. Bravo to the magistrate for doing what is right.
You could tell from the entire exercise today that she was internally struggling with something. Perhaps Matembe’s tears yesterday did not let her sleep peacefully, plus all the public sentiments that followed. She finally gathered the courage to say words that many of her colleagues in Temples of (in)Justice have dishonourably failed to say, as they chose to enable oppression of the persecuted. Her conscience has refused to die while she lives. It might be only one instance, but she deserves flowers and respect. Keep that way Sheilla Gloria Atim, regardless. May history count you among those that stood up in the storm. Perhaps more consciences could be gradually woken back to life. Perhaps they’ll be challenged by her courage to say those few words.
